Miley Cyrus performs at an album release event at Chateau Marmont on May 27, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.
Miley Cyrus has unveiled her latest artistic chapter with the release of Something Beautiful, a highly anticipated album that marks a bold evolution in her nearly two-decade-long career. Dropping this Friday, the record becomes the ninth studio album in her discography and follows the massive success of her 2023 hit Endless Summer Vacation, which featured the global chart-topper “Flowers.”
Described by Cyrus as “a unique visual experience fueled by fantasy” and “a one-of-a-kind pop opera,” Something Beautiful invites listeners into an imaginative sonic world, rich with emotion and experimentation. The project isn’t just an album it’s an immersive journey. Complementing the release, Cyrus will also debut an exclusive film tied to the album, premiering June 12 at the prestigious Tribeca Festival, further amplifying the multidimensional experience.
In celebration of the album’s launch, Cyrus hosted an intimate listening event earlier this week at the iconic Chateau Marmont, inviting a handpicked group of around 100 fans. The evening featured a special live performance in which she previewed new tracks like “Easy Lover,” “More to Lose,” and “End of the World,” while also delighting longtime fans with heartfelt renditions of “Flowers” and an impromptu version of her beloved ballad “The Climb.”
Speaking candidly to her audience, Cyrus offered a glimpse into the emotional heartbeat of the album. “Something Beautiful is about taking life’s experiences even the painful ones we’d rather forget and wrapping them in ribbons, learning to see them as gifts that may not make sense now but will serve us later,” she reflected.
True to her ever-evolving artistry, Cyrus closed the night with a tantalizing tease: “Something Beautiful is just the appetizer. My next album is going to be extremely experimental, so buckle up and enjoy the ride.”
With industry buzz already mounting, Something Beautiful is poised to become one of 2025’s defining releases equal parts intimate confessional, theatrical pop spectacle, and a reaffirmation of Cyrus’s creative fearlessness.
