Travis Mullen and Gina Kirschenheiter
In a recent exposé, Us Weekly has shed light on the financial details of Travis Mullen, boyfriend of Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter, as his divorce from ex-wife Meghan Mullen continues to unfold.
Earlier this year, 39-year-old Travis submitted an income and expense declaration, offering a glimpse into his financial standing amidst the contentious divorce battle. According to the document obtained by Us, Travis is employed as a senior financial analyst at a genetic testing firm, a position he has held since July 2022, working 40 hours weekly. He reported a monthly gross income of $10,164. Travis, who holds a degree in business administration, also revealed an auxiliary income stream of $8,333 per month from a trust. Despite venturing into real estate with Gina, he stated he had yet to profit from home sales within the initial four months of operation.
Further insights into his financial status include $2,221 in cash and bank savings, and $18,199 invested in stocks, bonds, and other liquid assets. Curiously, the value of his personal property was marked as “TBD.”
Household Dynamics and Living Arrangements
Travis resides with his three sons from his previous marriage, along with Gina and her three children. He explicitly clarified that Gina does not contribute to household expenses. This detail is particularly noteworthy given the couple’s decision to live separately during season 18 of RHOC, a choice made to maintain their relationship while allowing for personal space. In a November 2024 interview with The Daily Dish, Gina expressed satisfaction with their living arrangement, stating, “I think it’s working for us both,” and emphasizing the happiness of their children.
Expenses and Legal Woes
Travis’s declaration also itemized his monthly expenditures, totaling $8,094. These include:
- Rent: $4,075
- Healthcare: $368
- Groceries: $1,000
- Dining out: $300
- Utilities: $475
- Phone expenses: $111
- Clothing: $500
- Education: $420
- Car-related costs: $845
Legal battles have proven costly for Travis, with approximately $28,255 expended on legal fees, partially funded through the liquidation of investments. He also acknowledged an outstanding debt of $8,000 to his attorney.
Custody Battle Intensifies
In March, Travis escalated the divorce conflict by filing an emergency motion seeking sole custody of his children. He accused Meghan of missing drug tests, allowing significant school absences for their children, and disrupting his custody time. “Her refusal to take a court-ordered drug test further supports my suspicions that [Meghan] is consuming illegal substances, which might impair her parenting capabilities,” Travis asserted. However, the court declined his request for emergency orders, though a hearing was subsequently scheduled.
Meghan vehemently refuted all allegations, accusing Travis of using the family court system as a method of coercion and control. “His filings appear intended to punish and control me,” she proclaimed in court documents, labeling Travis’s accusations as unfounded and devoid of credible evidence. Furthermore, Meghan leveled serious accusations against Gina, claiming her children reported Gina’s negative remarks about her, which allegedly fomented tension within the household. A source close to Gina vehemently dismissed Meghan’s claims as “total BS” in a conversation with In Touch, attributing Meghan’s statements to a desperate attempt to maintain custody.
With the divorce drama far from resolved, a critical hearing is slated for later this month. Fans of RHOC will recall that the preceding season unveiled several strains within Gina and Travis’s relationship, fueled by the ongoing turmoil of his divorce proceedings.
