This fall, Broadway will once again shimmer as three charismatic stars—James Corden, Neil Patrick Harris, and Bobby Cannavale—take the stage in a much-anticipated revival of Yasmina Reza’s play ‘Art’. Directed by the esteemed Scott Ellis, this production promises laughter and thought-provoking conversations about art and friendship.
Kicking off on August 28 at the iconic Music Box Theatre, the show officially opens on September 16 and will run through December 21, 2025 for a 17-week limited engagement.
The play ‘Art’, renowned for its sharp dialogue and complex exploration of friendship, originally graced Broadway in 1998 with a legendary cast: Alan Alda, Victor Garber, and Alfred Molina—who won a Tony for Best Actor.
Returning to Broadway, James Corden graces the stage for the first time since his Tony-winning role in ‘One Man, Two Guvnors’ (2012). His theater credits include ‘The History Boys’ and the West End’s ‘The Constituent’. Corden also brought flair to musical films like ‘Into the Woods’, ‘Cats’, ‘The Prom’, and ‘Cinderella’.
Neil Patrick Harris, celebrated for ‘How I Met Your Mother’, won a Tony in 2014 for ‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch’. He previously starred in ‘Assassins’ and ‘Shit Meet Fan’, showcasing his versatility on stage.
Bobby Cannavale, known for his commanding presence, has previously appeared in Broadway productions like ‘The Lifespan of a Fact’, and films including ‘The Irishman’ and ‘I, Tonya’.
“We are thrilled to be producing the first-ever Broadway revival of this iconic Tony-winning play with three iconic, award-winning actors… It has been etched into my mind as a hysterical and moving portrayal of friendship, compromise, and the power of art to change perspectives.”
– Michael Shulman, Producer
With such a stellar cast and creative team, ‘Art’ is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated theatrical events of the year—where the stage becomes a canvas for friendship, ego, and artistic interpretation.
