Elisabeth Hasselbeck on 'The View' in 2019.
Former The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck has set the record straight about rumors that she might return to Survivor for its landmark 50th season. Speaking to fans through her Instagram Stories over the weekend, Hasselbeck made it clear that she won’t be heading back to the island. “No, I’m not doing Survivor,” she said with a smile. “That is funny, though. I’m gonna be back there with snacks instead.”
She added that she plans to focus on gardening and other exciting projects that, as she put it, “definitely don’t involve Fiji or Survivor.” Instead, she expressed a desire to enjoy quality time with her family—maybe even with a burger in the backyard.
Known for her fourth-place finish on Survivor: The Australian Outback in 2001, Hasselbeck went on to co-host The View from 2003 to 2013, followed by a two-year stint on Fox & Friends. Since then, she has prioritized family life with her husband, former NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, and their three children: Grace, Taylor, and Isaiah. The couple recently celebrated 22 years of marriage.
While fans may be disappointed not to see Hasselbeck return to the show, Survivor’s 50th season still promises to be an exciting event. Scheduled to premiere in February 2026, the upcoming season will feature returning cast members and a new interactive twist that gives fans the power to influence gameplay. The official cast announcement is expected on May 28 during CBS Mornings.
Though she’s not returning to the jungle, Hasselbeck made it clear that she’s exactly where she wants to be: at home, surrounded by family, and focused on new beginnings.
