Ariana Grande; Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro in Meet the Parents.
The long-anticipated fourth installment of the beloved Meet the Parents franchise is officially in the works and it’s bringing with it a dazzling new cast addition sure to reinvigorate the iconic comedy series. Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Blythe Danner, and Teri Polo are all set to reprise their unforgettable roles, as confirmed by industry veteran Sharareh Drury of Allnews, who brings her sharp industry insights following tenures at Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.
The film, slated for release on November 25, 2026, will continue the hilarity fans have come to love, with the addition of pop sensation and rising Hollywood star Ariana Grande. Fresh off her praised performance in Wicked: Part One, Grande is stepping into a major comedic role alongside veterans Stiller and De Niro whose onscreen chemistry has been a signature of the series since its 2000 debut.
While the plot remains tightly under wraps, audiences can expect the return of Greg Focker’s endearingly awkward misadventures and his ever-tense dynamic with Jack Byrnes, the famously stoic ex-CIA father-in-law portrayed by De Niro. Their unlikely rapport has fueled the heart and humor of the series for over two decades.

In December 2024, Allnews confirmed the reunion of the original cast, including Danner and Polo, reuniting for the first time since Little Fockers (2010). Helming the screenplay once again is John Hamburg, the comedic architect behind all three previous installments, ensuring continuity in tone and character.
Beyond the screen, Robert De Niro returns as producer through his Tribeca Productions banner, joined by longtime collaborator Jane Rosenthal. For the first time in the franchise’s history, Ben Stiller will not only star but also produce via his Red Hour Films bringing his vision full circle in front of and behind the camera.
For those just discovering the series, Meet the Parents followed Greg Focker, a mild-mannered nurse played by Stiller, as he hilariously attempted to gain the approval of his girlfriend Pam’s intimidating father, Jack. The comedic chaos continued in Meet the Fockers, with the introduction of Greg’s eccentric parents (memorably portrayed by Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand), and culminated in Little Fockers, which explored the pitfalls and humor of parenthood.
Now, with Meet the Parents 4 set to debut on Thanksgiving weekend 2026, fans can look forward to a fresh dose of family dysfunction, comic misunderstandings, and heartfelt moments served with the same irreverent charm that made the original trilogy a cultural staple.
