Beyoncé performing in London on June 7.
This sartorial journey unfolds in London, where the superstar graces the stage until June 16, following the tour’s grand commencement in April precisely a year after the album release that shares its name.
Western-inspired flair! Fringe frenzy! Beyoncé!
A parade of iconic moments has swept through Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour, heavily infused with designer artistry that shapes her bespoke costumes. When Beyoncé, 43, transported her electrifying stadium show to London’s multi-concert leg, she turned to Donatella Versace, the illustrious designer, to conjure two custom-crafted masterpieces.
The excitement commenced at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, showcasing a Versace ensemble that screamed Western chic and echoed Beyoncé’s essence: chaps adorned with meticulously hand-cut, hand-sewn white fringe paired with a bodysuit encrusted in crystals. Complementing this was a quilted ball gown, enchanting spectators with Versace’s emblematic barocco print both outfits collectively demanding 1,100 intricately invested hours.
Versace confides to PEOPLE that the gown holds a special place as her favorite of the two. It pays homage to a signature design pioneered by her brother, Versace originator Gianni Versace, who passed away on July 15, 1997. “Gianni crafted this silhouette, combining a fitted corset and voluminous skirt with a cowboy essence in the ‘90s,” she elaborates.

Captivating like no other, Beyoncé and her creative team immersed themselves in crafting her stage wardrobe. Donatella reveals that the Grammy sensation initially spotted the barocco ball gown during its Milan debut at Versace’s Fall 2025 showcase, infusing her personal flair. “She embellished the outfit with crystal-laden boots, Medusa Chain necklaces, and a cowboy hat to align perfectly with her tour aesthetic.”

In a delightful addition to her artistic endeavor, Donatella savors the honor of collaborating with Beyoncé, complementing it with a privileged firsthand visual treat seated at the Cowboy Carter Tour.
“Beyoncé graciously invited me backstage before her grand entrance. Her beauty is transcendent, and witnessing her in person was breathtaking,” recounts Donatella.
“Designing for a runway is one realm, but experiencing Beyoncé as she breathes life into a creation on stage is pure elation. She is a goddess, exuding kindness and unparalleled stardom, a true luminary. Her fashion choices enhance her performance, empowering her presence,” shares Donatella.
As Versace reflects further: “Witnessing Beyoncé’s performance reveals her meticulous attention to detail. She remarked on Saturday that her aim was for everyone to feel they were front row. Versace aspires for our shows to evoke this sentiment as well. It’s humbling to have Beyoncé as a cherished friend, embracing mutual support.”
Earlier this year, in March, Donatella shared news of stepping down as Versace’s creative director, transitioning to the role of global ambassador after three remarkable decades steering the brand’s creative helm.
“Mentorship for emerging designers is dear to my heart. I am excited for Dario Vitale to join us, eager to see Versace through his fresh perspective. My heartfelt gratitude extends to my talented design team and every Versace employee I’ve cherished collaborating with over these thirty years,” she penned in her poignant Instagram announcement.
