Garcelle Beauvais is setting the stage for a potential comeback to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills—but only if one specific cast member departs.
Open Dialogue on Watch What Happens Live
During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Thursday, October 23, Garcelle faced an intriguing question from the audience. “Garcelle, is there anyone from Beverly Hills that could leave that would make you consider coming back and, if so, who?” asked an audience member.
Garcelle, without much pause, replied, “Erika,” referring to her former costar Erika Jayne.
“Really?” asked host Andy Cohen, to which Garcelle responded, “I think so. Yeah.”
Clashes and Past Conflicts
The tension between Garcelle and Erika came to a head during the RHOBH season 14 reunion, where Erika remarked, “I wish you were more interesting, I guess.” Garcelle countered with, “Well, that’s a s***ty thing to say, Erika.”
Erika had explained that their group—herself, Kyle Richards, and Dorit Kemsley—were all navigating highly publicized divorces. Garcelle noted that her own divorce had occurred before she joined the show, highlighting its public nature as well.
Saying Goodbye
In March, Garcelle announced her departure from the Bravo hit after five seasons. She shared this news on Instagram, stating, “Hey, guys, so I have some news. I’ve decided to leave Beverly Hills. It’s been a wild ride. I mean, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened, but it’s been a ride nevertheless.”
One of the reasons for her leaving was the desire to spend more time with her twin sons, Jax and Jaid, as they approached their last year of high school and new personal endeavors.
“Their last year of high school is next year, and I want to be a part of that, and Jaid is starting a new career, and I want to be a part of that too,” she shared. “Secondly, I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing and acting in. I can’t tell you anything right now, but you’ll know soon.”
Post-Reality Update
Recently, Garcelle gave Us Weekly an update on her post-reality TV life during a promotional tour for her new Lifetime projects, Taken at a Truck Stop: A Black Girl Missing Movie and Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted 2 Love. She revealed that she unexpectedly bumped into RHOBH husbands PK Kemsley and Mauricio Umansky over dinner.
“PK said, ‘Garcelle, on a scale of one to 10, how do you feel after the show?’ I said, ‘30,’ and they started cracking up,” she noted.
Reflecting on her five-year tenure as a Housewife, Garcelle admitted it was “fun,” yet relishes the newfound privacy.
What’s Next?
Following Garcelle’s exit, Us Weekly reported in June that fashion icon Rachel Zoe is set to join the RHOBH cast for season 15, bringing a fresh dynamic to the franchise.
