ABC delighted fans by unveiling a list of potential suitors for Taylor Frankie Paul on October 23. Announcing on Facebook, they wrote, “We are giving you an early look at the men who may be on this season of The Bachelorette! Leave a 🌹 for who would get your first impression rose.”
Among the batch of over 20 contestants, Casey from Nashville, Tennessee, instantly caught the public eye. At 30, he’s drawing comparisons for his resemblance to Taylor’s former beau, Dakota Mortensen. Fans were quick to comment, with one stating, “He looks like her baby daddy,” while another remarked, “He can be the Dakota’s twin.”
Taylor, known for her role in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, shares a 19-month-old son, Ever, with ex-boyfriend Dakota. Her marriage to Tate Paul, with whom she has daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5, lasted from 2016 until their split in 2022.
Since September’s announcement of her leading role on The Bachelorette, Taylor revealed to Us Weekly that she hadn’t yet discussed the show with Dakota.
“I don’t know exactly how he’ll react or feel, but he does know that we opened the gates of dating other people. [He’ll] probably [be] sad. I assume that it’s like, ‘Whoa, she’s gonna be dating people, a lot, and then also, in front of me,’ and that’s probably gonna be kind of hard to watch,” she said. “I can’t speak for him, but I’d assume it wouldn’t be the best news he’s heard on that day.”
