Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone’s eldest daughter, Vivian, has grown up before their eyes, recently turning heads with her showstopping prom ensemble. “Thank you to @sherrihill @realkarahill @dandridesigns for making Viv’s prom dreams come true,” McCarthy, 54, shared on her Instagram Stories on Friday, May 30, offering a rare glimpse of her firstborn. In the striking photo, Vivian stuns in a blue and white floral strapless gown, featuring a structured corset and a full, ruffled skirt. She completed the look with a delicate gold pendant and wore her auburn hair in a chic tousled updo. Alongside Vivian, McCarthy and Falcone, 51, are also proud parents to 15-year-old Georgette.
“My daughters are really smart, funny, and wonderfully quirky,” the Bridesmaids actress told Us Weekly back in February 2019. “Honestly, I think they’re already better than I was at their age. They’ve developed a sense of confidence I didn’t find until nearly thirty, and I love witnessing that.” McCarthy described motherhood as filled with more joy than hardship. “The biggest challenge is just asking myself, ‘Am I doing enough?’ And still being constantly amazed by my girls,” she said.
In a 2018 interview, McCarthy opened up about the advice she regularly shares with Vivian and Georgette. “I always tell my kids, you determine your self-worth—not what others think of you,” she explained. “Today, so much of our lives revolve around validation. It’s always ‘What do you think of me?’ or ‘Look at my vacation do you like it?’”
Since tying the knot in 2005, McCarthy and Falcone have built a home rooted in love and creativity. “They support each other’s careers and collaborate effortlessly at home,” a source told Us in November 2022. “They are genuinely each other’s biggest fans in every way.”
Though they tend to keep their private lives out of the spotlight, Vivian and Georgette are familiar with their parents’ film and television work. McCarthy recalled watching the pilot of Gilmore Girls with Vivian during a 2023 appearance on Today. “Watching her watch it was surreal,” she said, reflecting on her beloved role as Sookie St. James. “But I’m also weirdly paranoid. Like, what if something happens and someone finds me unconscious in a room with my own show playing on the screen?”
She added with a laugh, “I always think, ‘Please don’t let me pass out while watching myself.’ It’s my only thought anytime I see me on TV. It’s completely irrational, but still, it sticks with me. I know how crazy that sounds.”
