Nick Jonas
STX Entertainment is preparing to bring a dazzling rock ‘n’ roll biopic to the screen with Nick Jonas set to star as iconic KISS frontman Paul Stanley in Shout It Out Loud. Directed by McG, the film promises to delve into the heart of 1970s glam rock, following the rise of KISS as they electrified the New York music scene with explosive hits like Rock and Roll All Nite and Deuce, known for their theatrical performances featuring rockets, smoke, and blood-spitting antics.
The film’s script, written by Darren Lemke, is a collaboration between the band’s members and Universal Music Publishing Group, with contributions from Jody Gerson, Bruce Resnikoff, and David Blackman. While casting for the role of Gene Simmons continues, Shout It Out Loud is shaping up to be an epic spectacle, with KISS’s brand rights held by Sweden’s Pophouse.
The film is produced by a team that includes Mark Canton, Doc McGhee, and several key executives. Nick Jonas, represented by UTA and Schreck Rose, is known for his musical work with the Jonas Brothers and as a solo artist with hits like Jealous, as well as his roles in the Jumanji franchise and the upcoming Power Ballad alongside Paul Rudd.
