A 25-year-old man from Washington is now at the center of a chilling and complex double murder case, accused of fatally shooting his father and brother before setting their home ablaze to cover up the crime.
Luis Miguel Huitron Campos faces two counts of first-degree aggravated murder and one count of first-degree arson following the horrific deaths of his father, Oliverio Huitron-Rosalez, 64, and brother, Alejandro Huitron Campos, 31.
The bodies were discovered in the charred remains of their home in Gig Harbor, Washington, after a blaze broke out on April 8. Firefighters responding to the scene found both men had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The Pierce County medical examiner confirmed the deaths as homicides.
Disturbingly, Oliverio had carbon monoxide in his system, indicating he may have still been alive when the fire started. His body bore both burn injuries and a close-range gunshot wound.
