After delivering a riveting performance in Amazon MGM Studios’ action-packed feature G20, Viola Davis is stepping back into the limelight with the same production house for an electrifying conspiracy thriller entitled Ally Clark. Under the skilled direction of Philip Noyce, known for his mastery in the thriller genre with credits including Clear and Present Danger, Salt, and Rabbit-Proof Fence, this new project promises to be a captivating cinematic experience.
A powerhouse team backs the feature’s production. Renowned producer Irwin Winkler, whose illustrious career includes classics such as Rocky and Goodfellas, joins forces with fellow producers Charlies Winker and David Winkler of Winkler Films, alongside Jose Ruisanchez. Notably, Davis herself will co-produce with her husband and JuVee Productions partner, Julius Tennon.
Adding an extra flair to the film’s pedigree is the script crafted by Ruisanchez and Irwin Winkler, creating a narrative that follows investigator Ally Clark, brought to life by Davis. The thrilling plot casts Clark in an intense investigation, navigating dangerous waters as she probes into an international conglomerate following the dubious death of a dear friend. Presently in developmental stages, the project has Melanie Clark, of JuVee Productions, onboard as an executive producer. Davis’ previous collaboration with Amazon, G20, achieved impressive success on Prime Video, securing the top spot on Nielsen’s movie charts during its debut week with a staggering 516 million minutes streamed. This success further underscores JuVee Productions’ commitment to creating socially impactful stories that champion diversity and the empowerment of marginalized voices.
